JFRD ANNOUNCES THE GRADUATION OF RECRUIT CLASS 325

February 11, 2026
This evening, fifty-one new recruits graduated from the JFRD Training Academy and received their first assignment as Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department firefighters. Recruit Class 325, which began on November 3, 2025, celebrated its graduation at the Church of Eleven22 on Beach Boulevard.

The recruits underwent rigorous training in firefighting techniques, emergency medical services, and physical fitness conditioning. They now join JFRD's over 1,900 personnel serving the community across 68 fire stations.

"This graduating class represents the future of Jacksonville Fire and Rescue," said Fire Chief Percy Golden II. "These 51 men and women have demonstrated the dedication, skill, and commitment to service that our community deserves. They are ready to answer the call and protect the lives and property of Jacksonville residents."

"Recruit Class 325 has shown exceptional commitment throughout their training," said Division Chief of Training Terrance Holmes. "They embraced every challenge, supported each other, and embodied what it means to serve. These recruits are prepared and ready to serve the citizens of Jacksonville with the professionalism and skill that JFRD is known for."

Throughout their training, Recruit Class 325 embraced their class motto: "My seat-My own two feet-Not about me-But JFRD-For my faith-For my family-For my country-Home of the brave-Land of the free." The motto reflects their commitment to service above self and their readiness to serve the Jacksonville community.

The 15-week advanced recruit training program builds on the candidates’ firefighting and emergency medical certifications and prepares them for the challenges they will face as firefighters in the largest fire department by land area in the continental United States. Training included classroom instruction, hands-on skills development, and emergency response scenarios.
