Overdose Reversal Training

To aid in preventing opioid overdose, the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department (JFRD), in partnership with Drug Free Duval are working to increase community access to NARCAN® Nasal Spray (naloxone), a medicine which can reverse the deadly effects of an opioid overdose. Please join JFRD and Drug Free Duval for a free training about the signs of overdose and how to administer NARCAN® Nasal Spray. Residents of Duval County will receive a free NARCAN® Nasal Spray kit, but anyone can join the training.

This is your chance to learn about the how an overdose develops and the steps to stop it. You'll see how laws in Florida are supporting the increased access and distribution of NARCAN® and learn how our laws are now providing protection for those who step in to aid persons experiencing an overdose. You'll examine myths vs. truth and become part of the solution that is saving lives in our community.
